Sarah Brown
Self-taught Illustrator based in Newport, South Wales

I’ve been passionate about art for as long as I can remember and so many of my childhood memories involve drawing, painting and crafting. However, it wasn't until the ripe old age of 40 that I decided to do everything in my power to make the lifelong dream of a creative career into reality! With endless support from my family, a wonderfully cozy studio in the garden (thanks to my partner) and a lot of hard graft, I'm well on my way to making that dream come true.

I love to use traditional methods and watercolour in particular, however I also enjoy working digitally. I am always keen to challenge myself to grow as an artist and also like to experiment with gouache, acrylic, brush lettering and crochet in my spare time.

I gain so much joy from the simple things in life and nature is a huge inspiration for me. I love animals, birds and woodland spaces in particular, which is often evident in my work.
